In just the past two months there have been so many new positive state polls regarding marijuana legalization I’ve needed to update my map. At this point there are now 23 states plus the District of Columbia where at least one publicly released poll found majority support for legalizing cannabis. I suspect a majority of the states will be green on this map before the year is over. For example, it is very likely there is majority support for legalization in states like Vermont and Maine but there simply haven’t been any recent polls on the issue.
